About This Station
The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro2 wireless weather
station. It is fan aspirated during the daylight hours for greater
temperature accuracy. The data are collected every 2 seconds and
the site is updated
every 5 minutes. This site and its data are collected using Weather
Display Software. The station consists of an anemometer mounted on a
mast 5 feet above my roof at 30 feet.
The rain gauge and a temperature-humidity sensor are located on a mast
about 5 feet above a deck roof. Weather information is also
uploaded to the APRS/WX network and can be seen at my amateur radio
weather station site, N0KTA-2.
Information is also collected by the University of Utah's meteorology
department and can be seen here
in the Sedgwick county part of the state of Kansas site.
